Grooming is dangerous

I cut myself at the gym today. I wasn't sure how it happened at first. I had just brushed my hair and when I touched my ear after I felt something and then saw blood all over my left index finger. I then realized there was blood on my ear also. It was very confusing and at first I didn't know if it was my ear or my finger that was bleeding. I then saw that there was skin separated on my finger so that solved that problem but then came the how, how had I cut my finger? My first instinct was that somehow my ear had done it. Maybe I had developed a mutant ability to have razor ears. I was scared to touch my ear in case it cut me somewhere else. It came to me then that I had a safety razor (not a very good name, is it?) in my toiletries bag and I must have cut my finger when I reached in to grab my brush. I started giggling when I realized this and the other guy in the locker room gave me a weird look. I would have explained it to him but he was wearing headphones so it probably would have been too complicated to explain and I just let it go. I then had to use a tissue to wipe the blood from my ear. As I was packing up my things with a tissue on my finger to stop the bleeding (I was too embarrassed to ask a gym attendant for a band aid) the guy walked by and again gave me a weird look. I wonder if he is telling people about the guy who was bleeding and giggling in the locker room. Probably not.
